In an exclusive interaction with media, Uma said she will not find peace until she hears the truth from Sonam’s mouth. Her powerful statement comes just days after Sonam was arrested in Ghazipur (UP), following the shocking murder of Raja during their honeymoon trek.

- May 23, 2025: Raja and Sonam left for a honeymoon in Meghalaya, specifically Sohra, near the scenic Wei Sawdong Falls.
- June 2, 2025: Raja’s body was recovered from a 1000-foot gorge. Initial reports suggested a fall, but later investigations revealed foul play.
- June 9, 2025: Sonam reappeared at a roadside dhaba in Ghazipur and was taken into custody by police.
Chilling Allegations: Honeymoon Turned Murder Plot
According to police and Uma’s own statements:
- Sonam booked the honeymoon without informing Raja’s family.
- She allegedly conspired with her lover Raj Kushwaha, hiring three men to execute the murder.
- Raja was forced to wear Rs 10 lakh worth of gold jewelry, which Uma believes was part of the motive.
“My son didn’t want to go to Meghalaya. She forced him and made him wear jewelry. She had everything planned,” Uma said.
