“Picture Abhi Baaki Hai”: Raghav Chadha Hits Back at AAP Colleagues with Video on Punjab Issues

New Delhi: Amid growing tensions within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has responded strongly to allegations that he failed to raise Punjab-related issues in Parliament. Sharing a video compilation of his speeches, Chadha asserted that his record speaks for itself.

The video features clips of his interventions in the Rajya Sabha, where he raised several Punjab-centric matters. These include demands for a corridor to Nankana Sahib, legal guarantees for Minimum Support Price (MSP) for farmers, a Bharat Ratna for Bhagat Singh, and the return of the royal throne of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.

Accompanying the video, Chadha wrote,

Rift Within AAP

The development comes shortly after Chadha was removed as Deputy Leader of AAP in the Rajya Sabha, following months of strained relations with party leadership, including national convener Arvind Kejriwal. Since then, the internal rift has become increasingly public.

Chadha has alleged that he is being deliberately sidelined, claiming he has been “silenced, not defeated” and accusing party members of running a “coordinated attack” against him.

Party Leaders Respond

Punjab AAP leaders have sharply criticised Chadha’s performance. State minister Harpal Singh Cheema said Chadha failed to raise key issues concerning Punjab despite being elected by the state’s MLAs. He termed the silence a “betrayal” of the people.

Senior party leader Saurabh Bharadwaj also took aim at Chadha, alleging that he has deleted past social media posts critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP. Bharadwaj remarked that Chadha appears to have reshaped his public image.

Political Journey

A founding member of AAP, Chadha joined the party during the India Against Corruption movement led by Kejriwal. A chartered accountant by profession, he quickly rose through the ranks—serving as party spokesperson, national treasurer, and later as an MLA from Rajinder Nagar in the 2020 Delhi elections.

In 2022, he was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Punjab, further strengthening his political profile.

What Lies Ahead?

Chadha’s recent absence from key party activities and his silence on major developments had already sparked speculation about his position within AAP. His latest video response signals that the internal conflict is far from over.

As tensions continue to escalate, all eyes remain on how the leadership of the Aam Aadmi Party handles the situation—and what role Raghav Chadha will play in the party going forward.
